Yay! I’m graduating this month on June 28th!!
As you know, I’ve decided to take on the challenge to live out my faith by going to help people in other countries around the world. I will be going to Malaysia, Thailand, Eastern Europe and Guatemala over 9 months with Adventures in Missions World Race.
I’m leaving the middle of August to travel down to Georgia for training for 6 weeks and hope to stop and see different things along the way. I’m excited to hang out with my family and maybe do some whitewater rafting.
They get to stay for a day or two to say goodbye and then I’m on my own until May of 2025!
I am honestly scared to be on my own but I am excited to meet new people and be given opportunities to live out my passions and be a part of other’s lives.
What I’m really excited about is being able to work with women who are sex trafficked which we will be doing in the first two countries. For some reason God has really put this on my heart and it just burns inside me when I think about it. I will be leaving middle of August but I still have another big challenge before then. Although my parents Rob and Christa Murphy and my grandparents Mary Ann Wierks and Mike and Debbie Murphy have been very supportive I still have to raise about $9000. This works best if it comes in monthly donations so I am hoping to find a bunch of people who would be willing to pay $50 a month for June through Feb. 15. The World Race has made that easy because one can go online, make the donation and then click repeat for a monthly donation. To me that sounds like a lot of money but I hoping that God will move in the hearts of a number of people and maybe even you to help me find these people.
